Nepal's VAT rate under the VAT Act 2052 is a single flat 13% — there's no reduced or multi-tier rate for different goods and services.

How VAT is added and removed
To add VAT to a base price, multiply by 1.13. To pull VAT back out of a VAT-inclusive total, divide by 1.13 to find the base amount, then the difference is the VAT portion. A NPR 1,000 bill excluding VAT becomes NPR 1,130 including VAT. A NPR 1,130 bill that already includes VAT breaks down into a NPR 1,000 base plus NPR 130 VAT.
