About the Bikram Sambat calendar
Bikram Sambat (BS) is Nepal's official calendar, currently about 56–57 years ahead of the English (AD/Gregorian) calendar. Unlike AD, BS months don't have a fixed number of days — they vary year to year based on the lunar-solar calculation, which is why a simple offset can't convert dates accurately. This tool uses a verified BS calendar table to convert exactly.
